Brit indie music legends Arctic Monkeys are amongst the acts appearing tonight as the first Cala Mijas Festival opens today
The band, whose hits include “”I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor“, “”Do I Wanna Know?” and “Arabella”, are due on stage after 10pm and are one of the highlights of the first day that includes Blossoms and Chet Faker.
Friday sees a trio of legends appearing, with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Chemical Brothers and Kraftwerk all playing.

The festival closes on Sunday with Liam Gallagher and James Blake.

Away from the main stage, two other venues will host an eclectic line up that includes techno marching band Muete (yes, you read that right) as well as Hot Chip and Santa Salud
