BREAKING NEWS: Coronavirus – Cases drop below 300 mark

Marbella could see a further easing of restrictions as the cumulative incidence of coronavirus in the municipality continues to fall.

Today’s figure, published by the Junta de Andalucia after the regional holiday, has 281.1 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Marbella in the past 14 days, the lowest figure since January 8 (205.9).

If this the trend continues, Marbella could move down to Level 3 restrictions, with bars and restaurants at 50% capacity inside and 100% on terraces. The town is currently at Level 4 Grade 1. That decision will be made on Thursday.

The number of active cases in Marbella continues to decline, although there are still more than 4,000 people who currently have Covid-19.

There were 94 more positives this Tuesday, a figure includes four days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday), since no data was published over the Dia de Andalucia holiday period.
