The Supreme Court of Andalucia has ordered a new curfew for Marbella and Estepona due to the rising numbers of Covid-19 cases .
This will mean that mobility will be restricted between 2 – 7 am for the next seven days.
The court considers that this restriction is justified to “safeguard public health” and as “suitable, necessary and proportionate” in the context of a pandemic.
“The restriction of mobility during …these hours of the morning does not hinder the exercise of other individual rights, being instead beneficial for the control and less contagion of the disease,” they add.
The measure comes as the incidence rate has risen to 1,016 per 100,000
The restriction will be published this Saturday in the Official Gazette of the Board (BOJA) and will be valid for seven days, from Saturday to Friday.
