The latest figures on coronavirus in Marbella, released on Thursday, continue to show a rise in infections with 44 new cases reported. The good news, however, is that there have been no deaths for the second consecutive day and that the number of recoveries is also growing strongly. At the moment Marbella reports 1,217 active cases.
The figures come ahead of the end of the current restrictions imposed by the Junta de Andalucia, which finish on Monday November 9. The Junta will then re-evaluate the data to see whether to extend them or impose news ones
The restrictions set by the regional government conclude next Monday the 9th and it will be necessary to study shortly whether to extend them or apply new ones.
Marbella has recorded 3,558 cases in total, with 53 deaths since the start of the pandemic and 2,288 recoveries. There are currently 1217 active cases.
The rate per 100,000 inhabitants in the past 14 days stood at 292.9 PDIA cases (Diagnostic Tests for Active Infection, which includes PCR and antigen tests), a slight rise from Wednesday’s 292.2.
