DJ killed at illegal party in Marbella villa

An illegal house party ended in horror this morning when the event’s DJ was shot dead.

Spanish media reports that police were called to a private villa in the luxury Guadalmina Alta urbanisation at 3am, where they found the body of the 40-year-old Spanish national. The rented villa was deserted when the police and emergency services arrived, but there was evidence of a party.

According to reports, neighbours had complained that the villa, overlooking the golf course at the end of a secluded street, had been the venue for a number of illegal parties over the past few days.

Although the partygoers fled when the shots were fired and as yet no arrests have been made, police are working on the theory that the DJ was hit in the neck by a stray bullet that passed through one the villa’s interior walls. Three shots were fired after an apparent argument in an adjoining room, one of which struck the victim.

Police are now trying to trace the organisers of the illegal event.
