Sunday lunch on a popular Marbella beach turned into a scene of horror yesterday, as diners spotted a woman’s body floating in the Mediterranean.
The terrible discovery was made even more shocking when the sea pushed the body onto to the beach, revealing that it had been decapitated and both arms were missing.
The incident happened at 5pm yesterday at a beach bar in the Marbesa urbanization in Las Chapas. Customers noticed the body as they were enjoying lunch on the terrace and called the emergency services.
The body, of a woman in her 30s, also had a deep cut in her abdomen. National Police reported that identification would prove difficult as they would be unable to use dental records or fingerprints.
