The Hot Christmas Ball proves that Marbella has a heart as well as plenty of soul!
Christmas in Marbella is always fantastic – a time for getting together to celebrate with family and friends, but also a time to remember those less fortunate than ourselves.
This Christmas Hot Magazine is delighted to be involved with the Hot Christmas Ball, which takes place on Friday December 2nd at the fabulously stylish Alevante Restaurant, on the first floor of the Marbella Puerto Deportivo Yacht Club.
Kara Jaye Caradas is the driving force behind organising the ball and passionate about helping those less fortunate. “I’ve been running events for Costa Charity Collections for over five years”, she explains, “and I’m really looking forward to this one.
“I wanted to get loads of people involved, because I’ve discovered that people really like to go out and buy a present, and I really wanted the kids to get involved.
“I get my kids involved all the time. I think it’s important that we say to them “Look, you live in this beautiful place, and a lot of them live very privileged lifestyles, so it’s important that they put some thought into it. So the parent can go with the child and buy the present, and then they wrap the present and sometimes put notes in for them, which I love.”
Kara is also excited about the choice of venue “Alevante is a new place and I’m really excited about it because it’s so beautiful. Its the perfect venue because it is all glass and overlooks the sea, can fit lots of people, it has a big dance floor and bar area.
“On the night we’ll have live entertainers including singers, dancers, DJ and a beautiful menu. What I really want this night to be is a Christmas Party for Marbella regulars, because we never get together. There aren’t that many of us left at this time of year and we never really get that chance to connect. So it’s going to be a great opportunity for us all to get together and celebrate Christmas for a good cause.
“On the night there will be a big Wish List tree where the closest orphanage to me – with physically and sexually abused children – will have all their presents. People can pick a gift from the wish list tree and we will go and buy it, and you can put your name and a message in a card.
As well as singers and DJs there will be a raffle and an auction, and Kara is on the lookout are on the lookout for great raffle or auction prizes.
If people want to get involved then Kara is still looking for raffle and auction prizes, and venue wiling to be drop off points for presents, as well as turn up with gifts on the night.
“It’s going to be an amazing night so get your business to make it their Christmas event” says Kara. “Everyone should be getting involved. And I do think that its important so that everybody can start giving back. It’s Christmas and there are kids out there that need our help!”
