Police have arrested six members of a drug gang that was bringing in hashish via jet skis – right through the entrance of Puerto Banus marina!
Police were alerted on Thursday evening to several drug landings on different beaches in Marbella.
The first police intervention saw one arrest and six bales being impounded – about 250 kilos of hashish. UDYCO agents in Marbella and Estepona then established an operation to locate and arrest the other members of the organisation.
National Police helicopters detected jet skis entering Puerto Banús with lights off. Agents on the ground arrested five men of French-Moroccan origin and seized another five bales of hashish.
The total operation saw six people arrested and 440 kilos of hashish seized, as well as three jet skis and 6,300 euros in cash.
