The Junta de Andalucia today went back on its requirement that bars and restaurants must shut between 6-8pm under the latest coronovirus measures.
Bars and restaurants will now be able to stay open until 10.30pm.
But in a (frankly baffling move) the Junta has decreed that no alcohol can be served between 6-8pm.
Minister of Health and Families, Jesús Aguirre, confirmed that establishments will have to offer a cafeteria and snack service during those hours from December 18, prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages during those hours.
We have all become used to some crazy restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic, but we would love to see the science behind that one. And we can’t wait to see the “last orders before 6pm” scenario, where patrons order enough drinks to get them through the following two hours…
