A driver survived plunging off the road and crashing 150 feet into the Gualmina River yesterday.
Marbella’s Fire Department came to the dramatic rescue of a trapped driver on Sunday.
The 27-year-old female driver plunged off the Benahavis road near the Virgen del Rosario de Benahavís hermitage and fell 50 metres, coming to rest on its roof in the Guadalmina River.
Firemen from San Pedro Alcántara were forced to rapel down the slope to reach the accident, where they were able to free the driver. After treatment for multiple bruises, disorientation and loss of memory at the scene, she was transfered to the Costa del Sol Hospital
