Marbella counts down to a cautious Feria

Marbella mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, yesterday encouraged citizens to enjoy the San Bernabé Feria week “with prudence.”

Muñoz laid a bouquet at the statue of the saint on the Paseo de la Alameda and stressed that “the events scheduled for the next few days have been designed with enthusiasm, but in accordance to the restictions that we have had to live with through with pandemic.”

“We would have liked the Feria to have been otherwise, but this year everyone’s responsibility must prevail,” stressed the mayor

The Feria officially starts on Thursday, June 10 at 12.00, when the raising of flags will be held from the balcony of the Town Hall. On Friday, June 11, the civic-religious procession to the Cruz del Humilladero will be held at 10:00 am. Friday is also a local holiday throughout Marbella,

In addition, children will be able to enjoy the Magic Park installed in La Represa on the weekend, June 12 and 13. (Entrance must be pre booked at the municipal delegation of Fiestas). The Feria week will also feature performances by dance academies and local groups in different locations around central Marbella.
