Urban sports are coming to Marbella, as the town is set to have one of the best designed and biggest skateparks in Andalucia!

The 5,200 sqm venue, which will open by the end of 2023, has been designed with the advice of BMX world champion Rubén Alcántara.
Marbella mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, who visited the site, stated that “young people asked us to have a facility to practice an urban sport that is on the rise”, and explained that the venue, located in Trapiche Norte, will have three different skate areas, more than 1,000 sqm of gardens and green spaces and car parks.

The skatepark, which will cost €800,000 euros and take eight months to complete, will be located in the La Florida area of Marbella, next to the Avenida del Trapiche and the A7 motorway. “It will be a space designed and intended for young people, who sometimes had to go to other parts of the province, not only practice skateboarding, but also rollerstake, BMX or scooter”.

Alcántara added that the Marbella skatepark “will be the most complete park in Andalusia” , with three ‘bowls’ of different sizes: a small one for beginners, an intermediate one and a more professional one, “which will allow it to host Spanish and even world championships.” In addition, it will have features that imitate street furniture, such as railings or pyramid-type ramps.
