The most dramatic of all the Semana Santa processions took place last night as Marbella celebrated Good Friday

Marbella Mayor Ángeles Muñoz (below) was among the dignitaries who observed the procession of ‘El Yacente’ and ‘La Soledad’, as they made their way around Marbella in dignified silence.

Soldiers of the Spanish Foreign Legion also played their traditional role in the procession, having travelled down from their base in Ronda.

Sunday marks the final day of Semana Santa, with the procession celebrating the resurrection of Christ leaving the Iglesia de la Encarnacion at 10.30am
