Marbella most popular hotel destination on the Costa del Sol this Easter

New figures have revealed a welcome boost for the tourist industry

Marbella is the most popular destination on the coast

The Association of Hotel Entrepreneurs of the Costa del Sol (Aehcos) has reported that last minute reservations, boosted by the forecast of good weather over the Easter puente, have pushed hotel occupancy figures in the region to an average of 75.90%.

José Luque, president of Aehcos, commented “The good weather, combined with Holy Week, has resulted in better than expected occupancy levels. We hope that this is a clear sign that tourism is recovering”.

During the four day Easter holiday, municipalities such as Ronda have reported 95% occupation rates.

Once again Marbella is the most popular destination on the coast, with hotel occupancy reported at 86.09%.
