Marbella showed solidarity with Paris on Saturday as the town observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect for the victims of the attacks in Paris.
The mayor of Marbella, José Bernal, and other members of the administration, took part in the ceremony at the entrance of the Town Hall building.
The French flag with a black ribbon hung from the front of the building and on Saturday night the colours of the Tricolor were projected on the Town Hall facade.
Jose Bernal, lamented the “injustice” of the Paris attacks and commented “Today, more than ever, the Town Hall needs to show its solidarity and unconditional support to the French people”.
Bernal also stressed “the close relationship between Marbella and the French community, which addition to being highly integrated, participates actively in municipal life.”
