Marbella set to lift travel restrictions on Friday

Marbella residents will be able to travel outside the municipal borders from Friday

The latest figures released today put the accumulated figure of coronavirus in Marbella at 402 per 100,000 inhabitants over the past 14 days.

This figure should mean that the Alert Committee for Malaga Province rules that the Marbella municipal border should open and, unless the Junta de Andalucía overrides the decision, it will come into force on Friday.

Marbella has been closed for all but essential travel since January 20, when the accumulated figure rose over 500 per 100,000.

Marbella also recorded its lowest number of new cases since December 30, with just 25 cases registered. It seems that finally the downward trend is continuing.
