One of the best known and beloved authors and hiking expert Guy Hunter Watts, died yesterday after a tragic biking accident.

Guy, who was the author of several best selling hiking guides, including “Walking in Andalucia”, “Costal Walks in Andalucia” and “Walking the Mountains of Ronda and Andalucia”, had been on life support since the accident on Friday.

A freelance journalist and walking guide, Guy had lived in Andalucia for more than 30 years and was passionate about the countryside.

A celebration of his life will be held in Montecorte at a future date.
