If you fancy catching a film in Marbella, then Wednesday is the best value day to do it.
The Cine Teatro Goya in Puerto Banus has improved its selection of English language films (known as V.S.O.E) and is also a much more comfortable viewing experience.
Wednesday is Dia Espectador, when tickets are available at the reduced price of €4.20 (normal price €8). This includes three hours parking as well, so it represents great value.
Planet Marbella likes a good sci fi movie and showing today is the latest Ridley Scott film The Martian, staring Matt Damon, who we last saw stranded on a hostile planet in the brilliant Interstellar. He seems to be making a habit of this.
In The Martian, Damon’s astronaut Mark Watney is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring “the Martian” home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible, rescue mission. As these stories of incredible bravery unfold, the world comes together to root for Watney’s safe return.
The Martian screens at 16.45 and 19.15 today. You can also reserve tickets for the latest Bond movie Spectre, which premieres this Friday.
