Footballers in the UK may be coming under criticism for their response to the coronavirus crisis, but Marbella FC’s players were quickly on the ball to help out when asked.

The club, together with the Marbella FC Foundation and the first team players, launched an initiative to help the needy by the Covid-19 pandemic and today donated and 3000 kilos of basic necessities to Marbella charity Caritas.

Marbella FC captain, Javier Añón, with his teammates Esteban Granero and Juanmi Callejón helped in the tasks of purchasing and loading the products at the Comerco Cash & Carry. Other local sports teams and Marbella Town Hall also joined in to aid this great cause.
