In a fitting gesture, Marbella Town Hall has announced that Buelvar de Arroyo Primero, currently under construction, will be named after marbellí Pablo Ráez in recognition of his memory and legacy.
In a ceremony at the Town Hall Marbella mayor, José Bernal recieved the Gold Medal of the Province of Malaga that was awarded to Pablo Raéz fron his father, Francisco Ráez.
“Pablo’s family has made a great gesture with and we will be eternally grateful,” said the mayor.
Pablo, who died earlier this year, had a massive impact on bone marrow donations in Spain as he recorded his fight against cancer on Social Media.
“We want to turn this great boulevard into a focal point for the extraordinary cause that Pablo led,” commented the Town Hall
Francisco Ráez, who will oversee the installation of a fitness zone on the boulevard thanked the Town Hall, noting that that the history and legacy of his son “is the heritage of all” and once again expressed “our gratitude to the people of Marbella.”
