Quartiers Properties plans Centro Forestal Sueco hotel project

The historic Central Forestal Sueco on the Golden Mile is scheduled to become the location for a luxury hotel.

Under plans put forward by Swedish developer Quartiers Properties and recently approved by Marbella Town Hall, the company intends to focus more on the hospitality sector, with new rooms and restaurants in the existing Boho Club and a brand new hotel on the neighboring property. The decision significantly increases the likelihood that Quartiers will be awarded 20,000 square metres of new build rights on its Marbella properties,

The next step in the process is to obtain approval from the regional Department of the Environment.

uartiers Properties AB (publ) has submitted a proposal to amend the current detailed plan for the Swedish Forestry Center. The proposal, which was developed in consultation with the Marbella Town Hall and later incorporated into the General Plan for the area, has now been unanimously approved by this council. The decision significantly increases the likelihood that Quartiers will be awarded 20,000 square meters of new build rights on its Marbella properties, as previously reported.

Marcus Johansson Prakt of Quartiers commented “We are very happy and grateful for the support we have received from the Marbella Town Hall and the work they are doing to develop the city. We both share the same vision of boosting our properties and the surrounding area. A short distance from our properties are are internationally renowned luxury developments such as EPIC Marbella by Fendi Casa, UNO Beach Residences and the Benalús apartment project. More top-quality hotel rooms and restaurants fit well with the development of the area”.
