Legendary American tennis player John McEnroe booked his place in tonight’s Senior Masters Cup Final by beating Mats Wilander (6-3, 6-4) in a thrilling match last night.

McEnroe showed that he has lost none of his killer instinct under the floodlights of the Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa Tennis Club and will face Carlos Moyá in tonight’s final. The Spaniard beat surprise package Pato Clavet in a close match last night that went to a tiebreak (6-3, 7-6 (3).

This is the second year in a row that McEnroe has reached the final of the Senior Masters Cup and he will be determined to walk off with the title. Last year he lost to Albert Costa, who was a shock exit in the first round this year.

Tonight’s matches include an exhibition doubles match with eccentric French player Yannick Noah (6pm) before the final at 8pm. Both matches will be shown live on tdp, and tickets are available on http://seniormasterscup.com/en/
