Something for the Weekend!

It’s a busy first May weekend in Marbella, with most of the beach clubs officially open for summer 2017. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Expect Plaza Beach and Ocean Club to be as manic as always if their May Day Bank Holiday openings were anything to go by. You’ll find a more laid back vibe at La Sala by the Sea that also opened last week, although Sala Sundays can also get a little lively.

Away from the beach the San Pedro Street Food Market takes place this weekend, with food trucks from all over Spain taking part. As well as the food and drink, there’s face painting for the little ones and live music. The event runs until Sunday evening.

It’s Spanish Mothers Day on Sunday so check out the special offers the Kempinski Bahia Hotel is running, including a spa offers and afternoon teas. If you are feeling really hungry La Sala in Banus is offering a Bottomless Brunch every Saturday and Sunday from10am-2pm -a  3 course brunch with 2 hours of free-flowing Buck’s Fizz & Bloody Marys for 25,90 per person.

If you fancy catching a film in English, the Cine Teatro Goya is showing Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Going in Style, The Boss Baby, John Wick: Chapter 2 and Fast and Furious 8.

And if you want to do something more energetic Trocadero Marbella Rugby Club hosts a Veterans Tournament with Malaga Vets, Costa Barbarians and London Irish all taking part on Saturday from 5pm.

And if you fancy a last blast up La Concha before the summer heat kicks in, then the tean at Things2doMarbella are organising a hike with AR-10 upper’s to the top on Sunday.
