The more observant amongst you may have noticed that we are in the middle of a very hot and sunny summer.
Now a report out this week by AEMET, the Spanish Meteorological Office, has confirmed that the Costa del Sol is the sunniest spot in Spain.
The report, using data from 1981 up to 2010, has shown that Malaga clocks up an average of 3,000 hours of sun a year, the most in all of Spain.
The region beat the Canary Islands by nearly 200 hours, or just under ten days worth of sunshine.
I’m considering investing in a new pair of sunglasses to celebrate the news!
