It was the Greatest Show on Earth as Asociacion Hadas Caradas (The Food Fairies) organised a fundraising event like no other in order to raise funds for their 2021 Christmas Appeal ensuring that underprivileged families and children were able to enjoy Christmas.

“Cirque de Siroko” took place at Siroko Beach Marbella, organised by the unstopable team of Kara Caradas, Jack Bourke & Lynn McCabe (above) of Asociacion Hadas Caradas, working alongside Siroko’s events manager Nazareth Parraga Garcia. The aim of the event was to raise enough money to feed over 1300 families this Christmas, providing them all with Christmas food packages. Accompanying the packages were gifts suitable for each child purchased by members of the community and left at one of the many drop points along the Costa del Sol as part of the Costa Christmas Collections appeal.
Many artists from along the coast gave their time and expertise to perform including DJ Dan Costelloe, Tony Capo, Jai Northover, Tabitha Beza Saez and Anthony Jimenez. Circus entertainment fitting the theme of the event was also a big feature with all acts coordinated and provided by Sam Woodrow International & Bespoke Live Productions and included fire dancers, aerialists, dance shows, unicyclists and much more! Gary Tapp of Your Wedding Moments provided his time and expertise to the event as videographer, and Racheal Baughan of Balance Photography Marbella gave her time and expertise as full event photographer for the evening.

Local businesses also stepped up to support the fundraising efforts by offering sponsorship of the event. Roccabox Property Group provided the main sponsorship for the event with Balloon Man Spain sponsoring the event décor, Creative Printing Marbella providing sponsoring all charity related printing, Nero Premium Vodka sponsoring a selection of the circus performances and Sleep Smug for providing table gifts for every booked table at the event. Many local businesses also contributed donating a huge amount of prizes and vouchers for raffle/lucky dip prizes as well as the auction.

This years fundraising event was a complete sell out and was attended by a great selection of people from right along the coast and also by sponsors, TV hosts and many of the asociacions donors. “After months of planning, we are thrilled to say the event was a resounding success. “The feedback from those who purchased tickets to attend the event has been incredible” said Jack,

“From each ticket purchased, one family of four to six people will be able to receive a food parcel this Christmas. With the combined sums from ticket sales, raffle, auction, lucky dips and other donations we are thrilled to announce that €16,000 was raised for this years appeal”.
“We have also had our donations trollies at the tills in Overseas Supermercados Puerto Banus and Mijas, with items donated in their hundreds each week from the 7 day deals.

“The support of local businesses and people from the community has once again been incredible this year for both the Cirque de Siroko fundraising event and gift donations for the Costa Christmas Collections appeal. Thanks to each and everyone of you that has played your part no matter how small, we will be able to provide food parcels and Christmas presents for each of those 1300 under privileged families this year”.
The Team of Fairys would like to take this opportunity once again send a huge thank you to all of our volunteers, sponsors and donors, without you we would not be able to help all of those families in need this year.
